Help to save our puppy Cody. We got him on Saturday, March 7th, and on Tuesday he started to get sick. He stopped eating and started throwing up. Wednesday evening we brought him to the vet where he was diagnosed with Parvovirus. To learn more about this deadly virus check out

Basically this virus eats away at the dog's intestines. They can die from dehydration or starvation. Also, if the virus passes to his organs or heart he can die suddenly. Parvovirus is very contagious and is spread easily from puppy to puppy since they have not had all their vaccinations.
After we found out Cody had Parvo we had to make a decision. Take him back to the breeder where he would most likely be euthanized, or give him his best chance by taking him to the emergency room. We decided to fight for him! However, the fight was very expensive. He required 24 hour care and monitoring, a constant fluid IV, a catheter, constant pain medication IV, antibiotics to prevent secondary infection, and plasma (which is basically fake blood) injections to make sure his white blood cell count remain in balance. We spent $6,102 and he was only in the hospital for 6 days Please help us be able to afford the bill for the care that our puppy deserved. Any donation will help! Even if it is only a $1. Also, please invite all of your friends to our cause. If we get 4000 people to donate $1 or 2 we will be able to raise enough money to save Cody!
(Please note that any donations made are NOT tax deductible because we are not a non for profit organization. All donations will be considered as gifts.
Well it has been about 3 months since Cody has been in the hospital and he has made a 100% recovery. When we got him back he weighed 18 pounds, now he is 45 YIKES. He still looks like a floppy puppy, but he is already bigger than my full grown Australian Shepherd, Riley. He has had all his vaccines now so we don't have to worry about any more scary diseases. Next month he is getting neutered (shhh don't tell him). His favorite things to do are play with Riley, snuggle, and sleep, which he does most of the day. He is even friends with my nana (which if you knew her you would be very surprised since she is not a dog person.) His sitting skills are perfect, as soon as someone says sit his butt hits the ground so fast! Lay down and come are another story; it's not that he doesn't listen.. it just takes him a little longer. He is very good at waiting to be told to eat his food and at doing his business on command. He doesn't have accidents anymore and he has finally learned to bark at the door when he needs to go outside. We love him tons and he is so much fun. He loves Riley and has to do whatever she is doing. The other day my mom couldn't find the dogs and she went in the laundry room (where Riley's cage is) and both of them were lying in there. The cage is almost too small for Riley so both of them in there was a very tight squeeze. CUTE!
